Yesterday I got a slightly later start than I wanted--since Dan beat me to the shower, I ended up getting a ride into the office with Mom. I then realized I wasn't sure what to work on. Heidi was gone at the Winter Weekend in Louisington (courtesy of Graham) and I hadn't yet made contact with Brian, so I ended up watching a
whole bunch of
Blackadder, catching me up with Dan. I fit in nine (full) half-hour episodes, I think, to complete the first two serieseses. And I ended up with the theme song absolutely stuck in my head for the rest of the day. I even found a string quartet arrangement and the first page of the piano solo version online. I really must have the sheet music so I can sing it--wouldn't it be hilarious if I listed it on my jury sheet next semester?? I think I like it a bit too much--particularly how the baritone sings it for the first series end credits.
Dan and I ended up fixing chili for dinner, which I quite liked, though I'm not sure my dad is quite comfortable with having such radical spices as cinnamon in his chili (I wanted to put cocoa powder in, but Dan wasn't terribly keen on the idea, though both my parents were surprisingly comfortable with that idea).
Then we did some chores. Dan painted the tops of the steps to the basement while I did some touching up elsewhere. When we were done, much to my dismay, Dad told us we shouldn't wait for Sunday to do some chores, but rather make a practice of grabbing something to eat after returning from work and then getting on some painting for an hour or so. Just what I need--more mundane labor every day. It looks like 27 chores are left, if you count each location of the same action as a different one.
We all finally relaxed to some Blackadder (Dan hooked up his computer to the TV and got a better-than-TV picture--spiffy!) and Jack & Coke.
This morning, I beat Dan to the shower, but--alas! I delayed our departure, as I didn't start early enough. I then realized we have two showers...intriguing...
When I started work today, I could barely remember how to do what I was supposed to be doing. I think I eventually figured out half of it by the time I quit today. Let me tell you, modifying META-tags, wading knee-deep in html, is no treat.

So, can you believe there's going to be a LOTR musical?! I'm serious! I really don't know what to think...
I'll post edits if anything interesting happens later (not bloody likely). Tschau!
